I recently had a radical prostatectomy and wanted to do everything possible to support my recovery. I was referred to Trista who taught me HYPOPRESSIVE exercise and worked with me after my surgery. I began working with her five weeks after my procedure and I noticed significant improvement with incontinence very quickly. I have been working with Trista for almost two months and am now doing the HYPOPRESSIVE daily. It only takes about twenty minutes and I have noticed many benefits. My breathing is deeper, my waist size has been reduced, I have more muscle tone in my abs, even my posture is better. I wish I had started this prior to my surgery. I think it would made my recovery quicker and easier.

Hypopressives are the interconnecting mechanism to my wellness practice. The hypopressive engagement and respiration focused alignment based postures have not only informed my movement and self-health care routines, they have also drawn my body truly back together. After taking the initial level 1 session with Trista, I was amazed at how much has drawn back into place in such a short time!
I have experienced pelvic floor dysfunction for 11 years. I was diagnosed with prostatitis as well as other inflammation based dis-ease as a teenager (chronic asthma and food based allergies, for example). When I was 19, I chose a natural route to my health and began consciousness based movement practices and earth based traditional medicine. Out of everything I have experienced and explored, hypopressives are the most functional and empowering tool in my wellness toolbox. They are dynamic yet practical and this enables me to do them every day.
The benefits of doing them inspire me to do them everyday because I feel a dramatic structural shift during and after the practice. It interfaces remarkably well into my biomechanical alignment based yoga practice and instruction. Whenever I experience pelvic related flare ups (localized & general pain, urgency, pre-urgency, urethra-fascial inflammation, pelvic floor tension, lower abdominal tension, pain, and bloating), the hypopressives often clear 50-80% of my symptoms up after a single session. This, clearly, makes me want to practice more in order to get a full correction.
I do orthopedic based massage and shiatsu, frequency specific microcurrent, and teach alignment based movement and yoga for a living. It took some time unlearning postural habits for the sake of seeing, feeling, and experiencing the mechanics behind this respiration supplement and system, however it is sincerely worth the focus and time spent! I clients have been amazed at how connected they feel to their body during and after sessions. Not only is this an informative tool for structural specific dissonance, it is also a fantastic remedy.

My name is Nicolas Zahasky and I have been the heath and wellness arena since high school, which is now twenty years. I started out training my friends for football and powerlifting as a hobby and quickly I found out it was a passion and something I excelled at. On top of my formal culinary education I’ve been through advanced massage therapy schooling, Rkc, HkC, SF, Primal movement, Foundations trainings, FMS, yoga, competitive endurance sports, and ultra running.
Years of lifting heavy things, competing in endurance sports, and practicing body awareness have proven to be beneficial when I see people’s mechanics for the first time. I have been praised for my out of the box thinking and approach to the human body when dealing with such things as pain management, strength gains, increased endurance, and increased propreoception. I even thought I had the art of breathing mastered when it came to using it for sympathetic and parasympathetic manipulation.
When I attended The Hypopressives course I sat in the back thinking I knew what to do and how to do it. I even let my ego tell me this would be easy to incorporate as an add on tool to my repertoire. I quickly found out that this technique was something entirely different and had nuances that professionals from all walks could use and have great success with using it as a stand alone approach.
Trista taught me one amazing thing that I will never forget, Hypopressives is the art of “allowing” ourselves to breath. We don’t often realize that all things come with an equal masculine and feminine side. One may generally believe that we meet things with force and or with grace but the reality is true mechanical and emotional perfection are amplified by those that can harness than manipulate contrast.
Any professional looking to change their game or the lives of their clients/patients needs to invest in not one level but all three levels of LPF. It’s changed my life in a very short time and I have seen success since I took the course just 3 weeks ago, in my clients' posture, control, and proprioception already!
Trista, thanks so much for an awesome course! I loved it!!
