I am very grateful to Trista who with her sparkling personality motivates me to continue to explore the positive effects of Hypopressive fitness not only for my prolapse, but also for my hip, lower back and aging issues.

Five years ago, at age 72, I developed a Stage 4 combined cystocele and rectocele. After some research, I
opted to explore alternate therapies and treatments rather than surgery. I have had several pessaries
with the Gelhorn being the best option to date along with topical Estragyn cream twice a week. I sit in a
“sitz” bath daily to relax the area. I go to a physiotherapist who has given me many exercises to help my
condition. I eat a high fibre diet and stay close to my BMI (Body Mass Index).

I still had symptoms even with all that I was doing to help myself. I was going to the bathroom very often
being on the verge of incontinence. I had severe “bulging” in the pelvic floor area which felt heavy and at
times painful. I am a very active person exercising daily. I am on my feet almost all day doing my own
cooking, grocery shopping, gardening and other household chores. However, by 2 p.m. in the afternoon,
I would be fatigued and had to rest after an hour of staying on my feet. My posture would be bent over
because of the “bulging”.

Enter Trista Zinn. Even though my physiotherapist had helped me immensely, she suggested I connect
with Trista because, as a Hypopressive Fitness Expert, she may be able to help me strengthen my core
even more.

After 6 months of Zoom sessions with Trista and doing a variety of Hypopressive exercises almost daily
(15 minutes), I am pleased that my “bulging” is markedly reduced throughout the day. I no longer have
to rest after an hour of activity and I have more energy in the afternoon. The frequency of going to the
bathroom is in more of a normal range and there is no thought of incontinence. My posture has
improved and I stand more erect with greater stability and balance. Along with low impact cardio,
strength training and yoga, my Hypopressive exercises are improving the quality of my life. I realize that
this is a lot of work, but it is really worth the effort as I have greater control over this condition.
