I feel more stable in all the other exercises I do, especially weightlifting.

I have had seven children. Yes, seven from my body. My pelvic floor has done a lot of work in its time, not only from carrying and delivering seven children, but from years of intense exercise too soon and too much post-partum. For the past 3-4 months I have done my hypopressive exercises very regularly, doing them 10-15 minutes most every day. Even though I am used to dedicating my workout time to more hardcore weightlifting and cycling and other traditional exercises to “get me fit” I have found that the hypopressives are very key to truly feeling balanced and fit. I quite enjoy doing them, as they are meditative in nature and I feel so strong and stable. Since I have been doing them so regularly, I do not feel any prolapse symptoms at all, nor has my back hurt. Prior to incorporating them into my routine, I would feel my prolapse several times a month and it was very disheartening, I was at the point of considering surgery for the prolapse. My incontinence has improved as well. Sometimes it is hard to slow down and do my hypopressives but the benefits are so numerous I keep doing them first thing each day. I feel more stable in all the other exercises I do, especially weightlifting. I am so glad that I have found an exercise that is truly good for my mind body and soul. Thanks Trista!!
